We would like to thank everyone that came out for the farewell bash at Buckners Brewery. Buckners has always been a dear home to us and we are very sorry to see them close. Marcellas and the staff always took great care of the bands and customers that came to visit. Being as how the band had our first show at Buckners, we can’t thank them enough for letting us play the final show. A big thanks also goes out to the Intentions who sat in and played a few songs for the crowd. We have been busy adding new songs, fine tuning the classics, and creating some new mashups in our set list. Us Instead has a TON of new gigs lined up for the upcoming Spring/Summer season. In expanding our venues, we have shows booked at some of our local wineries, the Bayou, private shows, weddings, and a few acoustic performances at Belair. We are also currently trying to get a few shows booked at Mixing, Belly Up bar in Oran, and hopefully the Isle Casino. We have a crazy amount of people asking when we will be playing at the casino and we assure you we are looking into it.

Us Instead will be participating in the SEMO homecoming parade. We will be playing music in the parade which will start at Capaha Park on Broadway and will proceed to Main Street in downtown Cape Girardeau. Come out and have a good time and support the Redhawks! Afterwards catch a nap because we will be at the 505 in Perryville (show info in the link above) We will be starting at 9pm and can’t wait to see everyone out! We will also be playing at Ryhmers and doing Toys 4 Tots again. We will try and update the site ASAP with more info on our upcoming shows. The website is officially up! The creator (Steven Sauceda) has done a phenomenal job and it looks fantastic. A big thanks goes out to all the work he did to get it up and running. Us Instead is expanding it’s horizons. We have been doing a lot of work on our set list to make sure that the crowd will always be guessing what’s next. We have added new music to keep all of our regular crowd on their toes. Did they just mix T.I. and the Cranberry’s? Yes…Yes we did. In addition, we are also playing at new location such as the 505 in Perryville and even the Pink Galleon.
On a serious note, we can’t thank everyone enough for coming out and showing your support. The only thing we love more than getting to play music is being able to see our friends/family come out and have a good time with us.
